Your first visit will be an opportunity to meet the dental team and develop a personalized plan for your complete oral health. You will receive a thorough and comprehensive exam, and get a chance to talk to the doctors about your personal dental wants, needs, and concerns.

Your Appointment
When you call the office, an appointment will be scheduled at a date and time convenient for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please allow 24 hours notice so that other patients might make use of that time. For your convenience, new patient forms can be downloaded, filled out, and brought with you to your first appointment.
Your Comprehensive Exam
During your first visit, Dr. Steven and Tonya Fuqua will review your medical history, discuss your current concerns, and take a blood pressure screening. You will also receive a thorough dental exam, including a head and neck exam and oral cancer screening. Dr. Steven or Tonya Fuqua will look for evidence of gum disease, check your teeth for decay, and evaluate your bite alignment. They will take any necessary digital X-rays and use an intraoral camera to photograph your teeth and soft tissues. They may also make impressions and digital photographs of your teeth as part of your diagnostic workup.
Treatment Planning
Once the initial evaluation is complete, you may be scheduled for a separate appointment in which your doctor will go over all of your options and work with you to develop a treatment plan that addresses all of your dental needs.
